Hip hop Trends

There is no doubt that hip hop music was on a lower level before the advent of Cassper Nyovest , he came into the industry knowing very well that he will change the hip hop game in a major way even though within his change he created bad blood between him and his fellow mates which also included a well-known hip hop star who has been in the entertainment industry for a while AKA. Cassper Nyovest dissed AKA on his song titled “Phumakim” this song caused a lot of controversy between the two rappers and even got to a point where it was reported that AKA and his guys pulled a gun on Cassper Nyovest at the LIVE amp studios where they were meant to be performing at the same show. Cassper Nyovest did not take it very nicely as he quickly updated his fans about the incident and that cause the two rappers to trend on twitter as they were intrigued by the situation that took place.

Aka and Cassper
squashed the beef.
This was an ongoing process because of the way it blew out of proportion. Everyone on twitter and instagram who followed the “BEEF” that was going on between these rappers made them want to include themselves into the situation. For example if Cassper Nyovest would post something negative about AKA people would respond and tried showing which rapper they supported that greatly affected peoples views and attitude towards buying their music and also they showed their perspective of the situation through social media. It also influenced me into wanting to listen to their music cause I was curious about the big deal which was trending on our social networks everyday. The people who called themselves fans and still do had to remain and show which rapper they supported. The funny part about the whole beef is when the two rappers decided to squash the “BEEF” it left everyone hanging I will just say the followers who supported AKA  were left not knowing whether to start buying Cassper Nyovests music now since they have finally made peace or continue to support our day 1 main man who has been in the game for sometime.. well I like them both I did not take any sides from the begin I just listened to good music I truly don’t understand why they started beefing and causing all this negativity between them but it was a great opportunity for them to get sales on their albums and trend on twitter and other social networks. But i just want you guys to think about this was this whole "beef" a publicity stunt??

  2. i have to say im not much of a hip hop fan but after reading the blog and getting an idea what exactly had happened between the two hip hop starts i cant say much but i have never been a fan of AKA but rather Casper i have say i love his music and the fact that its in vernacular most of the time, with AKA i just happen to see a rapper who imitates the american rappers.

  3. I am also not a fan of hip hop but I love Cassper Nyovest music. In South Africa we need people like him, people who sing original music and not imitates Kanye West as Sabelisiwe says. His been in the music indursty for a short time but already winning multiple Metro Awards and not forgeting his Metro Awards closing performance, the guy nailed it. You got to love Cassper.

  13. Regardless of what happened between those two, it actually worked perfectly for both artists. I mean they got us sweating blogging about them lol. Without a doubt, social media really helped them.
